In this article, you will find the most common reasons why you can not log in to the Webnode editor; ie when the standard procedure, what you can find here, does not work and what you can do to fix it.
1. Forgotten or incorrect password
ATTENTION: This procedure applies to situations where you enter the correct e-mail address but do not know the correct login password.
1.1. Reset password
You can reset the password on the password recovery page. The e-mail with the password reset link may end up in spam, so please also check folders such as Spam or Bulk. If the password recovery e-mail is not delivered, the e-mail address you entered is very likely incorrect.
1.2 Change password for e-mail mailbox
To change the password for an e-mail mailbox created under your own domain (applies only if the e-mail address is not set as the site owner or administrator role), the project owner will need to change the password. See the related instructions here.
2. Incorrect e-mail address or non-existent e-mail address
2.1 Try all e-mail addresses
First of all, we recommend that you follow point 1. Forgotten or incorrect password and try all e-mail addresses that you normally use or may have created for this purpose in the past.
2.2 Non-existent e-mail address
2.2.1 Address on your own domain
If you still own the domain from which the e-mail mailbox was created, it should theoretically be possible to create the mailbox again to verify access. You should then normally be able to reset the password and log in again.
2.2.2 Address with public e-mail providers
If the mailbox is with a public e-mail provider (such as Gmail or Seznam), you can try to create the mailbox again, or contact that provider's customer support directly to request recovery.
2.3 Typo in e-mail address
Occasionally, the reason for not being able to log in is a typo in the e-mail entered during registration. In this case, we recommend that you check whether your browser offers auto-completion of your e-mail when you sign in, and that there is no misspelled e-mail among your saved addresses.

If you are able to log in to the project under an e-mail with a typo, you can write to us directly from the contact form and we will be happy to change your registration e-mail.
2.4 Contact us
If it is impossible to log in using any of the above ways (for example, if you forgot your e-mail address or it does not work), contact our customer support.
3. Login via Google or Facebook not working
If you previously signed up or logged in via Google or Facebook and for any reason cannot use this method now, simply reset your password the standard way. Use the e-mail address you had with Google or as your registration e-mail on Facebook. You can reset the password by following the instructions How to Recover a Lost Password.
4. Browser/device settings
If you enter the correct username and password, the inability to log in is probably caused by the browser or device you are using.
4.1 Different web browser
Try a different browser than the one you are currently using – we generally recommend Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge.
For proper login in another browser, we recommend clearing the cache (browser cache) and cookies in the previous browser following these instructions, or trying an incognito window (private browsing mode). This launches the browser without plugins, which may be causing the login problem.
4.2 Different device
Try another device – instead of a computer, try logging in from a mobile phone or tablet, for example.
If logging in on another device works, the problem lies with the original device. Here we can recommend temporarily disabling antivirus programs or firewalls while logging in, or generally checking the device settings.
TIP: The process for pausing protection differs for each antivirus program – it is a good idea to visit the operator's support resources directly, or simply search for the process in a search engine such as Google.
4.3 Different internet network
Try another internet network – especially if you are on a work network, as its operator may block certain access. Connecting to a different internet network could help here.
4.4 Contact us
If logging in still fails on another browser and device, or after clearing the cache, you can contact us.
5. I'm not a robot – captcha
When logging into the editor, and also when registering, the so-called captcha may be displayed; ie confirmation that you are not a robot. If you confirm the captcha correctly but the confirmation keeps being displayed, you can contact us via the form.

6. Login verification for project
If you are having trouble signing in with two-step verification via e-mail, you can visit our guide Login Verification for Project – Troubleshooting.
7. Outage
If the login normally works and suddenly fails, e.g. the Webnode portal does not appear or the login does not respond, there may be a short-term outage of our editor's availability. Monitoring systems run in the background to detect outages and, if they happen, the situation is resolved quickly.
Therefore, if you do not need to edit the page immediately, we recommend waiting a few hours. You can always contact our support as well.
