Basic control of the editor

In this article, you’ll learn how to work with the editor controls. It provides a brief overview of the editor’s features and includes links to more detailed Help Center articles. If your project has the e-shop module enabled, you can also visit the article Basic control of the e-shop.

Once you select the page type and template, the page editor will open immediately. The editor contains several basic control elements:

1. The top bar includes the buttons: Pages, Blog Posts (only visible if a blog is added), Settings, and Publish

Pages

In the Pages manager, you can add or delete pages, move them or hide them from the menu, create subpages, and adjust advanced settings for each page.

Blog Posts

This button only appears if a blog is enabled on your project. For more information about blogs, see articles such as How to Add a blog or How to manage your Blog

Settings

Here, you can adjust general website settings, manage domains and email accounts, invite collaborators, create website backups, or manage language versions. You can also edit the overall appearance of your website (colors, fonts, template layout, etc.).

Publish

Every time you make changes to your website content, you need to publish them for your visitors to see them. Once changes are published, they cannot be undone.

2. The menu (person icon) in the top-right corner contains links to:

My Projects:

A list of all projects you have access to under your account.

My Account:

Here you can edit your personal information, including your login email

Purchased Services and Billing:

This section includes issued invoices for download and the status of your current premium services.

Help Center:

This link leads to the Help Center, which you are currently reading.

Get in touch:

Log Out:

This button logs you out of your account.

3. The header settings button (gear icon), lets you change the header background, add effects, and adjust the menu or top bar design

4. The plus button (in the circle in the center of the page) is for adding a new website section

5. The Section settings button (gear icon) is where you can choose a background image from the basic gallery, upload your own image, adjust the layout, or delete the section. Sections can be moved or copied according to the instructions in How to move or copy a section

6. The plus button (in the drop shape with a right-pointing line) is for adding a new content block. You can edit text and images by clicking or dragging with the mouse. Content blocks can be moved or copied using the How to move or copy a content block

7. The Footer settings button (gear icon) lets you change the background or adjust the layout of the footer
