Connect Google Adsense and add ads.txt file to your site


In this guide, you will learn how to connect your site to Google AdSense and attach the related ads.txt file. Google AdSense offers the opportunity to earn money by displaying advertisements on your site. Based on the content of the pages, Adsense displays relevant ads. Connecting the AdSense service and adding the ads.txt file in the editor is available with the Standard, Profi or Business premium plan

How to add AdSense to your site 

1. Go to Settings in the project editor. 

2. Choose Website Settings and expand the Google AdSense menu. 

3. Login to your AdSense account and copy the owner ID that is given in the page add code. An example of the owner ID format is "pub-1234567891234567". You can find more detailed information about this ID and how to obtain it here. 

4. Enter the owner's ID in the Publisher ID field and save the change. Publish the site

5. Go back to your AdSense account and check that you have entered the code and confirm with the button. You will see information about the approval process of your site. The approval process is not automatic; there is a manual check. Approval can take two days or even a month. If the service finds irregularities on your website, due to which the page cannot be approved, you will see a message in your AdSense account and you will also receive a message in your AdSense account login email. 


Adding the ads.txt file

1. Log in to your AdSense account and copy the given text here in the Fragment Ads.txt snippet verification. 

2. Within the Webnode editor, paste it into the Contents of your ads.txt file window. Then save the change and publish the site

3. In the AdSense interface, check that the ads.txt file has been published and confirm with the Verify button. 

AdSense states that it may take a few days for changes to appear in your AdSense account after adding a file. If the site sends few ad requests, it could be a month. More about the ads.txt file here
