How to Use an Email Created in New Webnode webmail


In this guide, you will learn how to use the internal email client for the new Webnode webmail. The Webnode email client (webmail) is responsive, meaning you can access your mailbox from your mobile or tablet. You can log in to Webmail directly from the main Webnode portal

Below is a description of the various parts of the new internal email client, which you can switch between using the icons on the left panel. 


Compose 

Here, you can create a new email. This is a standard window where you can set the sender, recipient, subject, and attach files. You can also use one of the predefined responses (templates), see the Responses section below. 


Mail 

This is a standard inbox where you will find folders such as Inbox, Deleted Items, Spam, etc. You can easily delete emails, reply to them, move them between folders, and so on. You can also import or export emails here. 


Contacts 

This section contains your contacts. You can create personal contact groups, add new contacts, and more. The Collected Recipients folder contains contacts you have communicated with in the past. You can also import or export contacts here. 


Calendar 

This functions as a standard calendar, similar to Outlook. You can create events, invite people to meetings, and so on. 


Settings 

Preferences 

Here, you can configure various elements related to appearance, email sending, inbox display, and more. Detailed descriptions of each section can be found below.

User Interface: Set mailbox properties such as language, time zone, date and time format, and email refresh frequency. You can also enable or disable browser pop-up windows. 

Mailbox View: Choose the time after which an email is marked as read, enable or disable conversation expansion, and control new message checks across all folders. 

Displaying Messages: Customize how emails appear in your inbox. You can choose whether emails open in a new window, display email addresses with real names, prefer HTML formatting, and allow remote resources (images, styles). You can also enable or disable read receipt notifications. In Advanced Settings, you can change the default encoding. 

Composing Messages: Adjust email creation settings, such as enabling HTML emails, automatic draft saving, requiring read receipts or delivery status notifications, and saving replies in the same folder as the original email. You can also configure how forwarded messages appear, the default HTML font, and the default action for the "Reply All" button. Additionally, you can set up an automatic signature and spell check preferences. In Advanced Settings, you can configure attachment naming, use MIME encoding for 8-bit characters, or enable/disable temporary local browser storage. 

Contacts: Configure your contacts, including the default address book, display format, and sorting. You can also set rules for saving recipients from outgoing emails and managing trusted senders. 

Special Folders: Define folders for Drafts, Sent Emails, Spam, and Trash. 

Server Settings: Choose whether to mark deleted messages as read, prevent message deletion but mark them for removal, hide deleted messages, or permanently delete emails from the Spam folder. You can also set rules for emptying the Trash or performing mailbox maintenance on logout. 

Encryption: Configure whether you want to use the Mailvelope master key tool. 

Skin Look & Feel: Customize the interface's look, including icon appearance, button and list displays, font size, and interface color. 

Calendar: Adjust calendar display and settings, such as the first day of the week, working hours, event colors, notification times, and birthday calendar display options. 

Folders

Here, you can configure the display of standard folders such as Inbox, Drafts, Spam, and Trash, as well as create custom folders. 

Identities 

In this section, you can manage your email addresses and add new ones. You can set the sender’s name, email address, organization name, and configure reply-to or BCC settings. You can also set up an automatic signature here. 

Responses

Set up response templates that can be used when composing or replying to an email. 

You can select a template by clicking the Responses button while writing an email. 

Filters 

Set up filters—rules that your inbox will follow, such as sorting messages into folders, forwarding emails, adding flags, and more. A complete guide can be found in How filters work in the new Webnode webmail


Apps 

Here, you can set the interface language. 

At the bottom left of the page, you'll find the button to switch to Dark Mode, About program, and the Logout option.
