In this guide, you'll learn how to add alt text to images in predefined sections. Alt text (alternative text) is a descriptive attribute of an image that helps search engines and users who cannot see the image understand its content. It is primarily used for accessibility (screen readers) and SEO optimization. Within the Webnode editor, you can also use artificial intelligence to generate alt text.
TIP: Alt text can also be added to standard images, gallery images, product images, and blog post thumbnail images.
Adding alt text
1. In the section, click directly on the desired image and select Image Settings.
2. Then click Edit Alt Text.
3. You can now enter the alt text into the corresponding field or use the Generate with AI button to have it created by artificial intelligence.
