Alt text (alternative text) is a short description of an image that helps search engines and visually impaired users understand its content. It is mainly used for website accessibility and improving SEO. In the Webnode editor, you can also easily generate alt text using artificial intelligence.
TIP: Alt text can also be added to standard images, gallery images, blog post thumbnail images, and images in sections.
Adding alt text
1. In the editor, click Products in the top-left corner.
2. Select a product.
3. Click the Edit images button.
4. Select an image and click Alt Text.
5. You can now enter the alt text into the corresponding field or use the Generate with AI button to have it created by artificial intelligence.
