In this guide, you'll learn how to add alt text to blog post thumbnail images. Alt text is a textual description of an image that helps users who rely on screen readers navigate content and enables search engines to better understand the content of a page. It is therefore an important part of both accessibility and SEO. In the Webnode editor, you can also use artificial intelligence tools to generate alt text.
TIP: Alt text can also be added to standard images, gallery images, product images, and images in sections.
Adding alt text
1. In the editor, click Blog posts in the top-left corner.
2. Then click Edit next to the Thumbnail alt text option (a thumbnail image must already be added to the article).
3. You can now enter the alt text into the corresponding field or use the Generate with AI button to have it created by artificial intelligence. Save your changes by clicking Save.
