In this guide, you will learn how to set up your email, for the new Webnode webmail interface, in Gmail.
Before setting up the email client, you need to create an email address in the Webnode system.
WARNING: If you are using the original web interface, you can connect your email mailbox according to the guide Adding Webnode Webmail to Gmail.
To set up Gmail, follow these steps:
1. Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner and select See all settings.
2. Go to the Accounts and Import tab and click on Add an email account in the Check mail from other accounts section.
3. Enter the email address created in Webnode and click Next.
4. Click Next again. By default, the option Import emails from my other account (POP3) should be selected.
5. In the email account setup, enter the following details and then click Add Account:
Email address: The email address created in Webnode
Username: The email address created in Webnode
Password: The password for the email address being set up
POP Server: imap.mail.webnode.com
Port: 995
Check the following options:
Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server
Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail
6. Select Yes, I want to be able to send mail as... and click Next.
7. You can change the name under which emails from this address will be sent, then click Next Step.
8. In the outgoing email settings, enter the following details and then click Add Account:
SMTP Server: smtp.mail.webnode.com
Username: The email address created in Webnode
Password: The password for the email address being set up
Port: 465
Select Secure connection using SSL (recommended).
Now, complete the setup by confirming the email sent to you or entering the verification code.
