Final TIPS:

1. What is the difference between a POP and an IMAP account?

Both are incoming mail protocols, meaning the way the email client handles incoming messages stored on the mail server.

With POP (POP3), messages are downloaded to your device. This means they are deleted from the server, and you will not be able to read them on another computer or through another email client. However, the advantage of POP is that messages will be available on your computer even without an internet connection. The POP protocol is suitable if you have a weak internet connection or if you always check your email on a single device.

IMAP, unlike POP, displays messages on the mail server in real-time. Any changes you make on one device will reflect on another device or email client. For example, if you delete an incoming email on your mobile phone, this change will also appear on all other devices you use, as well as in the webmail interface. Sent emails will also be visible across all devices. Keep in mind that IMAP requires a constant internet connection.

If you travel frequently and use the internet on mobile devices and different computers, IMAP will be the better option for you.
