How to Create a Backup of Your Website

In this guide, you will learn how to manually back up your website. This function is useful if you are planning a major modification of the site. Also, if you want to try something new, but be able to return to the original state, or restore the project if you delete something by mistake, a backup will help you.

A copy of the entire site is always created in the backup, so it is not possible to backup or restore only one page from the entire website.

Manual backup is a premium feature, and you will need to purchase a Standard or Profi premium plan. The Standard plan offers the creation of up to five manual backups. With the Profi plan, the number of manual backups is unlimited

1. To create a backup, click on the Administration tab in the project details and then select Backup and recovery

2. The second option is access from the editor, where you click on Settings

3. In the Backup and Recovery tab, select MANAGE BACKUPS

4. Here click on Create new backup

5. Here you can choose a name and confirm with the Create backup button.

6. Your website backup is now ready to restore. You can find complete information on this step in the article How to restore a website from a backup

7. You can also delete the backup. Just mark it and press Delete

TIP: In addition to manual backups, there are automatic backups, so you will always have a set of backups. You can find complete information about this feature in the article How does automatic backup work

TIP: The size of the backup is counted in the total storage of the project, so if you are running out of space on the project, we recommend deleting old, unnecessary backups.
