How to Add a New Section

In this guide, you will learn how to add new sections to your pages. A section generally means a larger part of the page, and its settings are managed via the gear icon on the right side of the page.

In the editor, sections and content blocks are different. Content blocks are smaller parts of a page (for example, just a form or some text), and their settings are managed with the “three dots” button located directly on the given content block. One section can contain multiple content blocks. Content (content blocks) can also be moved between sections. A section cannot be empty and must always contain at least one block.

TIP: A description of the different types of sections can be found in our guide The Different Types of Sections and What They’re Useful For

1. By hovering your mouse over the content area of the page, a plus button (located in the center of the page inside a circle) will appear to add a new section.

2. Select the type of section you want to add.

TIP: If you want to remove a section, see our guide How to Delete a Section

3. Publish the changes.

TIP: Sections can be customized in various ways. For more information, see the guides How to change a design of sections and How to Change the Background of a Section. You can also change the placement of sections according to the guide How to move or copy a section
